Professional Biography

Current Position: ICAR/02 Researcher at the University of Parma.
Studies: Degree (2001) in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory; Visiting Researcher (October 2004 – March 2005) at Stanford University, Stanford (USA). PhD (2006) in Civil Engineering specialization in hydraulic protection of the territory at the University of Parma. Supervisor and Co-supervisor of various graduate thesis works. Co-author of over forty publications.

Research Areas

  • Mathematical modeling of the flow and transport phenomena of pollutants in aquifers
  • Study and development of geostatistical methods for the identification of the hydraulic parameters of the aquifers and for the reconstruction of the source and the history of release of pollutants in the aquifers

  • Support for Underground Hydrology and Hydraulic Construction courses
