Luca Chiapponi


Professional Biography

Luca graduated in 2006 in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory and immediately took up service at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Parma. In the hydraulics laboratory he has participated in numerous physical modeling activities, covering design and executive roles, and has gained experience in the field of hydraulic measurements and controls. The instrumentation used includes the PIV (2D and 3D), the Doppler laser anemometer, wire and hot film anemometers, micro-swirls, various pressure and level transducers, etc. Luca takes care of the development and construction of the experimental equipment dedicated to research activities, plans and executes the related tests and actively follows the processing and treatment phases of the experimental data; moreover, he deals with 2D (telemac) and 3D (Fluent) numerical modeling, to integrate the aforementioned activities.
